About US

Aurawell Rehab is a specialist rehabilitation medicine practice providing high-quality, patient-centred care for people living with complex injury, illness, and disability. We support patients, families, and referrers through clear assessment, coordinated care, and practical rehabilitation planning.

Led by Dr Aiza Ahmad, Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (FAFRM), Aurawell Rehab delivers comprehensive assessment and evidence-based management of functional impairment across neurological, musculoskeletal, and complex medical conditions.

Dr Ahmad is highly regarded for her extensive experience across Australian and international healthcare systems. She consults in Belmont and Gateshead and holds hospital appointments at John Hunter Hospital, Lingard Private Hospital, and Warner Bay Private Hospital. She has also previously contributed to rehabilitation services at Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital.

As Clinical Lead for Spinal Cord Injury Service Development in the Hunter region for NSW Health, Dr Ahmad plays a key role in shaping rehabilitation service models and improving outcomes for individuals with complex neurological conditions.

Having worked across metropolitan, regional, and rural settings, Dr Ahmad understands the practical challenges faced by patients, families, and referring clinicians. Her approach is personalised, goal-oriented, and grounded in clear communication and evidence-based practice.

Aurawell Rehab is built on professionalism, collaboration, and compassion, with a strong focus on functional recovery, long-term independence, and quality of life.
